Noosa World Surfing Reserve’s Dedication Day this month will also celebrate the start of a strategic partnership with GemLife, the innovative developer of over-50s lifestyle resorts. GemLife, which had its gestation in Noosa, thanks to founder and Sunshine Beach surfer Gregg Piercy, and now operates facilities over three states, joins Noosa Heads Surf Life Saving Club as a gold sponsor of the NWSR.
With a focus on active and engaged living, GemLife delivers an exceptional blend of first-class recreational and leisure facilities through its award-winning country club concept, together with meticulously designed, modern, stylish homes. GemLife over-50s resorts are not retirement villages in the traditional sense – they provide vibrant, independent living for over-50s with a focus on health, wellbeing and social interaction. Many residents are still working full or part-time, but want a low-maintenance lifestyle to spend more time doing the things they love. And for many of them, that includes surfing.
GemLife has a particular interest in coastal conservation issues and will be working with NWSR on several local initiatives.
GemLife will be represented on dedication day by director and CEO Adrian Puljich and Gregg and Michele Piercy.
